I don’t use all of the colors available from most smart lights, but I do like bright cool white light during the day and nice warm white light in the evening. When the back of the desk was close to a white wall, I had a pair of Govee Flow Plus light bars mounted behind the monitors. The light reflected off the wall, providing really nice background light. That doesn't work now that the back of the desk is not close to a wall. Now, for ambient lighting in the evening, I have six Taysing LED mini indoor spotlights on a smart plug. They’re pointed at the wall, ceiling, and desktop and provide just the right amount of warm background light.

I haven’t profiled how much better bubbletea v2 would be for this game. My intuition is that bubbletea v2 should be almost as bandwidth efficient as my implementation but non-trivially slower.
The most obvious solution here was to rewrite each of these backend C# systems as Unreal C++ code. This would be an incredibly risky undertaking. There were hundreds of backend APIs that needed to be converted like this. Furthermore, each of these APIs relied on complex interlocking logic systems powered by the aforementioned custom conditional language. The C++ code would also need to be able to parse and understand this language to support all the existing content. Without our established C# test suite, it would be extremely tricky to pin down functionality and make sure every edge case was accounted for. Was this even possible in just 6 months?
